Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I know if a QBR retreat is for me?

Queen Bee Retreats was created in 2019 to support and empower women who are seeking the next level of self mastery. Fusing female-focused leadership training, embodiment practice through yoga and deep inner work, our retreats are geared toward the woman who has been doing her inner work for years and is in a formal or informal leadership role within her organization and/or community. If you are looking to refine your leadership or management skills, our retreats are for you. If you are seeking a community of like-minded women for healing alchemy, you’ve come to the right place. If you are hoping to find a way to fuse your emotional body with your physical body and beyond, this is where it happens.

We welcome women from all over the world, in any professional sphere and with any amount of yoga experience.

2. Why are the retreat groups kept small (10 people max)?

We intentionally keep our groups small to ensure that everyone has dedicated one-on-one attention, as well as space to be vulnerable and share within the special cocoon of the retreat week.

Each villa (both in Ibiza and Mallorca) has seven bedrooms, some of which can be expanded with two beds. Depending on how many people choose the deluxe / standard or shared options, we adjust the participant group size to ensure comfort.

3. Can I join a waitlist if the retreat is full?

Yes, if a retreat is full, we would be happy to add your name to the waitlist.

4. Can the retreat be covered by my company’s professional development budget?

Yes! We have a number of precedents of organizations covering the cost of the retreat under their professional development or training budgets. If you think this is something your company can offer, we would be happy to provide any documentation or information from our end to make this happen. Just let us know how we can help.

5. What is the daily schedule?

While each retreat is unique, we do follow a general daily schedule that consists of leadership training in the mornings and yoga in the afternoons. The schedule is designed to ensure you have time for self-reflection, informal conversations with the other retreat attendees and, most importantly, rest time for your body and mind.

Here is a common daily schedule:

9:00am - 10:00am Morning meditation

10:00am - 11:00am Breakfast

11:30am - 1:30pm Leadership Class (with a short break)

1:30pm - 2:30pm Lunch

2:30pm - 5:30pm Free Time

5:30pm - 7:00pm Yoga

7:30pm – Beyond Dinner and evening activities

Post-dinner evening activities will change, depending on the day and the theme of our sessions. Some evenings will intentionally be left open for rest and flow, while others will include organized discussions and activities such as live music.

6. Is the content of the Mallorca and Ibiza retreats the same?

Yes! The content of the retreat is the same on both islands (in terms of the leadership content and yoga) and the schedules are very similar. The main difference is the time of year and the special activities that are distinct to what each island has to offer.

7. How do I apply?

You can apply to attend an upcoming retreat here.

8. Are there early bird discounts?

Yes! We offer two kinds of early bird discounts. Check the page of the retreat you are interested in (Ibiza or Mallorca) and all the details are at the bottom.

9. Do you provide payment plans?

If you have been accepted into a QBR retreat and feel that you may need to arrange a payment plan, we would be happy to discuss it.

10. Are massages offered on the retreats?

We are pleased to offer massage therapy at both our Ibiza and Mallorca retreats. The massages are optional, take place during the free time each day and payment is made directly to the massage therapist.

11. What kind of food is provided on the retreat? What if I have dietary restrictions or preferences?

Our talented chefs prepare delicious, local meals at the retreat site every day. Although seafood and meat are included in our daily menus, we will also collect dietary preferences and restrictions in advance so that our chefs can create meals that everyone can enjoy.

12. What kind of yoga is practiced on the retreat? Can I attend if I am not a regular yoga practitioner (or even if I have never done yoga before)?

At QBR, we primarily practice Hatha / Vinyasa style yoga, with Yin and Restorative undertones. You can attend at any level of yoga practice. Yes, you can even be a yoga beginner!

Overall, this retreat was an incredible experience that left me feeling empowered, inspired, and deeply connected to myself and other women. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to heal and grow in a supportive and empowering environment.
